Myocardial infarction after cryoablation surgery for Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.

چکیده
A 48-year-old woman with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome underwent surgical division of the accessory pathway in the left lateral wall. At 6 months after the procedure, she developed dyspnea and chest oppression. Coronary angiography revealed total occlusion in the left circumflex coronary artery (segment 13) at the exact site where cryoablation had been performed. The coronary occlusion was treated with an intracoronary bolus injection of urokinase (960,000 U) and subsequent percutaneous transluminal balloon angioplasty. No significant residual stenosis remained after the balloon angioplasty, and no further evidence of myocardial ischemia was noted for 13 years to date after the procedure.

Early constrictive pericarditis and anemia after Dressler's syndrome and inferior wall myocardial infarction.
Early constrictive pericarditis and anaemia developed in a 52 year old man after he had an inferior wall myocardial infarction complicated by Dressler's syndrome. Total pericardiectomy at the time of coronary artery bypass surgery resulted in complete resolution of signs and symptoms.
متن کاملMyocardial infarction in an individual with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome
A case of recent myocardial infarction in a 24-year-old man with no known history of Wolff—Parkinson— White syndrome is reported. The patient developed during sport training an exercise tachycardia associated with palpitation and syncope. The electrocardiogram, performed by rescue team, was suggestive of Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. He was admitted to Cardiovascular Diseases Institute for th...
متن کاملAccelerated atrioventricular conduction after myocardial infarction. A study using His bundle electrograms.
His bundle recordings obtained in a patient with progressive shortening of the PR interval observed during and after acute diaphragmatic myocardial infarction showed abbreviated AH and HV intervals. Though atrial pacing at rapid rates produced prolongation of the AH interval, this was not as great as is seen in normal subjects and the abbreviated HV interval remained unchanged. The results of H...

Profound exercise-induce ST segment depression in a patient with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and normal coronary arteriograms.
The electrocardiogram is notoriously unreliable for the diagnosis of ischaemic heart disease in patients with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. Abnormalities in the resting tracing may lead to false positive diagnoses of inferior or anterior myocardial infarction. Although ST segment depression with exercise has been reported in patients with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, the depth of depressio...
